Internal and External Joinery - Mountbatten Leisure Centre, Portsmouth

During the refurbishment of Mountbatten Leisure Centre, Jacobs installed a new cafeteria area and external louvre ventilation panelling constructed in Siberian Larch.

Frimley Hospital, Surrey - refurbishment of reception and information area

A new modern and welcoming reception area was required to improve the feel of this hospital reception area. Light coloured materials and coloured glass help to give an airy feel.

Vosper Thorneycroft - New HQ in Portsmouth Dockyard. Completed: Sept 2003

Jacobs Joinery provided extensive design, construction and installation work for the new Vosper Head Quarters in Portsmouth Dockyard. Boardroom furniture included the main table, coffee unit, lectern and showcases as well as counter and fittings for the reception area.

Barn Conversion Joinery

Jacobs Joinery was asked to provide all external and internal joinery for this 'Barn conversion' in Surrey. The building was in fact a dairy and milking par lour and requirements included doors, windows, staircases and architraving.

Jacobs have carried out a number of projects for Leightons nation-wide chain of opticians. Work includes retail display, stock storage, reception counter desks and point of sale display.

Jacobs Joinery design and manufacture a wide range of bespoke joinery products including reception counters and desks. We also undertake a complete service to design, build and install furniture and fittings in shops, offices and hotels. Our clients include national retail chains, the Royal Navy, sports centres and private individuals and our work involves both internal and external fittings.

About Jacobs Joinery Shopfitting Services

This dynamic young company was established in February 1997. This was a direct result of our parent company, Jacobs Construction Ltd, finding that they had ever-increasing requirements for specialist joinery.

Jacobs Joinery started manufacturing in late February 1997 on behalf of Jacobs Construction but were soon being asked to provide quotations for the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery, predominantly to commercial markets, mainly to architects drawings and specifications.
